You might have heard the hype behind Justin Timberlake and his relationship as the face of new Myspace. The promise of a new social media phenomenon free from the constraints and regulations that govern Facebook and Twitter intrigued many who had high hopes for this “new” online community.
The reality of the site however, is that the new Myspace delivers neither a concrete message nor purpose to its followers. Although it’s hard to evaluate a site that has yet to gain any traction among the masses, things seemed a little confusing upon further inspections as to what it was trying to achieve. Is it Spotify? Is it YouTube? Is it Facebook? Music streams, mixed with photo albums, mixed with videos, mixed with personal profiles – it’s already getting hard to track. imagine having to navigate the site as a networking tool. Only time will tell how well new Myspace will manage among predominantly Facebook users.
